PROTECTION IN CASE OF INCREASED RISK
Rabies is transmitted through bites, scratches, or contact with the saliva of infected animals. The disease is almost always fatal. The Federal Office of Public Health recommends vaccination for people with an increased risk of contact or transmission, such as veterinarians or travelers to countries where rabies is widespread. Rabies prevention consists of two vaccine doses administered 28 days apart. If the risk of exposure continues, a booster vaccination is recommended after 12 months. We vaccinate immunocompetent individuals aged 16 and over with the Rabipur vaccine. As we do not always have the vaccine in stock, we kindly ask you to make an appointment.
Cost per dose: 133.45 CHF
Duration: 15 minutes
- Appointment Cancellation Policy
Booked vaccination appointments are generally binding, and the agreed time slot is reserved for you. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so that we can rebook the slot. If you cancel your appointment at short notice, we reserve the right to charge a fee of CHF 50. If you fail to cancel your appointment, we will charge you for the cost of the vaccine, as it has been prepared specifically for you and must be disposed of if you do not attend. The latter also applies if you cancel your appointment more than 24 hours in advance, as we order the vaccine specifically for you and cannot reuse it.
