Bladder infection
CONSULTATION FOR URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS.
Urinary tract infections are among the most common infections in women. Typical signs include frequent urination, a strong urge to urinate, a burning sensation when urinating, and urine with an unpleasant odor, which may sometimes contain blood. If these classic symptoms occur, a urinary tract infection is very likely. A urine test strip is used only as a supplementary diagnostic tool when symptoms are unclear. As part of our urinary tract infection screening, we assess your symptoms in a structured and discreet manner in our consultation room. We assess any warning signs and recommend the appropriate treatment or refer you to a doctor for further examination. In certain cases, we can dispense prescription medications without a prescription as part of a netCare consultation. Urinary tract infections in men, adolescents, and children, as well as in immunocompromised patients with or without a kidney transplant, must always be evaluated by a doctor.
