PROTECTION AGAINST HERPES ZOSTER

virus_2.png

Shingles (HZV) manifests as a painful rash that can lead to long-lasting nerve pain. It occurs more frequently in older people and those with weakened immune systems. The Federal Office of Public Health therefore recommends vaccination for everyone aged 65 and over, as well as people aged 18 and over with certain risk factors. Long-term protection can be achieved with two doses of the Shingrix vaccine. As we do not always have the vaccine in stock, we kindly ask you to make an appointment.

Cost per dose: 191.20 CHF

Duration: 15 minutes

Information on coverage by health insurance

For people aged 65 and over (or aged 18 and over with certain risk factors according to the Swiss vaccination schedule), we can bill the vaccine through the mandatory health insurance if you have a prescription for the vaccination. Alternatively, you can send the receipt directly to your health insurance provider. In both cases, the co-payment for the vaccination service is CHF 25. The costs for the vaccination service are also covered by some supplementary insurance policies.
